Q: How do I apply Bell’s Super Lube?
A: Take one valve out of the casing at a time. We recommend wiping it off with a clean, dust-free cloth to remove any debris. Now lay the bottle on its side and run the tip along the valve once, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE BOTTLE! The tip opening is larger than you expect and is designed to pour just the right amount without squeezing. Now insert the valve back in the casing and repeat for the other two.
Q: What makes Bell’s Super Lube better than the oil I use now?
A: Two words- quality ingredients. If you pay $1.99 for a bottle of cheap oil you’re going to get what you paid for. We use only the highest quality ingredients and additives and triple-filter every bottle we make to ensure it meets our strict quality standards. You paid over $1000 for your professional quality horn, use professional quality oil in it!
Q: Is Bell’s Super Lube right for my horn?
A: We’ve tested Bell’s Super Lube on all kinds of horns/metals: Monel, nickel-plated, student model, professional models etc. and found it to be effective on all horns but most effective on high-tolerance nickel plated or Monel metal valves. Of course everyone’s body chemistry reacts differently with the oil/additives and it’s not going to be best for everyone ,which is why we have an unconditional money-back guarantee (minus shipping costs) Give it a try, you have very little to lose and everything to gain.
Q: Where can I get Bell’s Super Lube?
A: You may place an online order with your credit card via
our secure order system. Please note
that your order information is encrypted throughout the entire process
and we will NEVER sell or distribute your information to anyone.
We also encourage you to patronize your local music store to purchase
Bell’s Super Lube. If no stores in your area carry Bell’s
Super Lube, ASK THEM TO!
Q: Will the blue dye in Bell’s Super Lube affect my horn in any way?
A: The natural color of the base oil and additives when mixed in Bell’s Super Lube is nearly clear. We just really like the color blue. You should know that the dye substance we use is diluted to an extremely fine particle count and it will not ever clog, coagulate on, or dye your valves in any way. (It may dye the plastic applicator tip blue over time, this is normal.)
Q: What does Bell’s Super Lube smell like?
A: Bell’s Super Lube is virtually odorless and is categorized as NOT HAZARDOUS according to the OSHA Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200. We have an MSDS on file.
Q: Is Bell’s Super Lube a petroleum or synthetic?
A: Bell’s Super Lube contains a light petroleum distillate with NO synthetic lubricants, here’s why- some synthetic oil can cause a chemical reaction with certain types of metal alloys when mixed with the different chemicals in the player’s breathe. This can cause corrosion of the valve, staining of the pads, as well as the formation of a slimy coating around the valves and all in the horn! Our products are 100% guaranteed not to cause any adverse reactions with your instrument.
